Gujarat Budget 2019 was announced on Tuesday by Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.2019 Budgets is the highest-ever Rs 2 lakh crore-plus budget, calls it a historic moment here are the highlights of the budget presented in the assembly.

The Government resolved that by next Ashadibeej, all farmers who have applied for agriculture power connections till date shall be provided agriculture connection. Thus, new power connections will be given to all the 1.25 lakh pending applicants and Nitin Patel also proposed to increase the electricity duty on industrial units consuming captive power and the state would spend Rs 260 crore for the “integrated development” of various facilities and tourist attractions near the Statue of Unity at Kevadiya in Narmada district.

“Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel called it a “historical moment as the first time since the formation of the state, a budget size of over Rs two lakh crore is being presented in this house”.

Every first & second girl child to get Rs 1 lakh on attaining an age of 18 yrs Nitin Patel said that the scheme would also have early intervention part, as financial help of Rs 4,000 will be given to second and first daughter of a family when she enrols in class 1, Rs 6,000 on enrolment in class IX The scheme will be for girls from poor families with income below Rs 2 Lakh annually

Nitin Patel said, “Before the introduction of GST, various taxes like Sales Tax, VAT, Motor Spirit Tax, CST, Entry Tax, Sugarcane Purchase Tax etc were in force.

Additional important allocations in the budget included a provision of Rs 30,045 crore for comprehensive development of the education sector, Rs 10,800 crore for health, Rs 10,058 crore for its road and building department and Rs 1,048 crore for the climate change department.

Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, who also holds the finance portfolio, also introduced the nation’s budget, which includes a dimension of over Rs 2.03 lakh crore and concentrates on the growth, for the remaining part of the present financial.
